Data comparing April 2026 with the same period last year shows a notable decline in the number of vehicles entering the zone, alongside improved traffic order across the city.
Between 1 and 30 April 2026, a total of 235,304 vehicle entries were recorded within the zone. During the same period in 2025, authorities registered 300,774 vehicle entries.
This represents a reduction of 65,470 vehicles year-on-year. On average, 7,834 fewer vehicles passed through the zone each day in April compared with the previous year.
During monitoring of the system, authorities recorded 4,159 traffic violations.
City officials said that only five per cent of these offences involved vehicles belonging to residents of Dubrovnik, which they say demonstrates a high level of adaptation by local citizens to the new traffic regime.
The city’s Department for Transport has also reminded individuals and businesses whose permits have expired to submit applications for new permits in good time, noting that permits are not automatically renewed after expiry.
