Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is continuing its international expansion with a series of new hotel openings across Croatia, Montenegro, Armenia and Uzbekistan, while also preparing to enter the United Kingdom market in 2027.
The premium hospitality brand, part of the global Accor group, is growing its presence following recent openings in Poland, Greece and Italy. Founded in 1948 as a pioneering Swiss restaurant company, Mövenpick has evolved into an international hotel brand with more than 140 properties worldwide.
Second Mövenpick hotel in Croatia
The brand’s second property in Croatia, Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Kvarner Bay, is scheduled to open near Novi Vinodolski in July 2026.
The hotel will feature 198 rooms and suites, most with private balconies overlooking the Adriatic Sea and the island of Krk.
A major highlight will be the Salterra Wellness & Spa centre, covering 14,000 square metres and expected to become Croatia’s largest wellness facility. The spa is set to open later this year and will include heated seawater pools, saunas, a Turkish hammam and a wide range of wellness treatments. More
