Dugi Otog Island: Villa Nai 3.3 Earns Three Michelin Keys, Elevating Croatian Luxury Hospitality

At the inaugural Michelin Key Hotel Awards in Paris, Villa Nai 3.3 emerged with the prestigious Three Keys distinction, a testament to the hotel’s seamless blend of natural beauty, thoughtful design, and refined regional flavours.

Nestled quietly on Croatia’s stunning island of Dugi Otok, Villa Nai 3.3 has emerged as a shining star in the global luxury hospitality scene. This exclusive adults-only retreat, featuring just eight sumptuous suites, has been honoured with the illustrious Three Michelin Keys—the highest accolade in the newly launched Michelin Guide hotel rating system.

The award was bestowed during a grand ceremony at Paris’ Musée des Arts Décoratifs, marking the launch of Michelin’s Global Key Selection for 2025. This pioneering event celebrates hotels worldwide where design, destination, and hospitality artistry converge to create extraordinary guest experiences.

Designed by renowned Croatian architect Nikola Bašić, Villa Nai 3.3 is a masterclass in harmony between architecture and nature. Carved seamlessly into the hillside, the hotel’s low-profile stone structures stem from the very earth beneath it.

With interiors inspired by luxurious yachts, each of the five rooms and three suites balances spaciousness with intimacy, framing tranquil views of centuries-old olive groves or the sparkling Adriatic Sea. The estate’s 40,000-square-metre olive groves, cultivated by the Morović family for over four centuries, provide the foundation for the award-winning Nai 3.3 extra virgin olive oil.

This prized oil is not only a culinary cornerstone at the hotel’s celebrated 3.3 Restaurant but also enriches bespoke spa treatments, crafting an authentic connection to the island’s heritage. Villa Nai 3.3 also earned a finalist spot for the Michelin Architecture & Design Award, an honour recognising properties where architectural vision and interior design transcend decoration to become the heart of the experience. Sharing the stage with iconic global landmarks, the Croatian retreat exemplifies a sophisticated and sustainable luxury ethos. “We are profoundly honoured by this recognition,” said Goran Morović, co-owner of Villa Nai 3.3.

“This award celebrates every hand that shaped Villa Nai 3.3—from architect to olive grower—reflecting our deep commitment to design, environment, and guest wellbeing.” More
